ABOUT US...

I’m Dick Johns, an American Farmer.  After earning Ag degrees at Cal Poly and Washington State University, I “apprenticed” for farming via jobs in agricultural research, Ag lending, then with stock and commodity brokering.  The crops I have nurtured & developed since 1976 include fresh and dried flowers, unique stems & vines, tree fruit and “ornamental” vegetables.

I now hold the gratifying position of owner & president of Cross Creek Ranch, Inc.  Cross Creek is the west coast’s foremost grower & processor of a few dozen decorative botanicals that we consistently produce better than just about anyone in the business.

Our facility includes some of California’s finest sections of fertile topsoil, custom designed drying and dyeing equipment, and 38,000 cubic feet of insect-proof and refrigerated inventory storage.

Our superior quality and impeccable service is predicated on the following:

  • Every one of my reliable key employees have been with me since 1996
  • Our state-of-the-art sizing equipment consistently separates artichokes, pomegranates and the many shapes of gourds into a myriad of categories
  • The drying facilities utilize sophisticated electronic control programs to manage the heaters and fans for precise temperature and humidity control
  • Tedious & high-risk operations are mechanized to optimize cost-savings & safety
  • Crops are grown with total process efficiency subordinate to optimum quality
  • We maintain inventories of most items year-round (your orders are filled on-time)
  • Custom colors are efficiently processed in our unique dyeing facility which produces consistent colors & quality at “best-buy” prices

Today, the bulk of our business is from repeat customers, most of which were originally referrals.  We appreciate your support of the American farmer, our loyal employees and the United States economy.
